INTRODUCTION
Museum of the Moving Image is the only museum of its kind in the United States dedicated to the art, history, technique and technology of the moving image. Its exhibitions are praised for the integration of material objects with computer-based interactive experiences and audiovisual presentations.
The museum embraces a wide range of subjects from optical toys to the latest digital art, and explores every phase of the production and exhibition of moving images. Following a major expansion and remodeling that doubled its size, the museum has seen annual visitor numbers rise from 90,000 to more than 250,000.
