Ashurst’s new campus transforms work environments with sophisticated audiovisual installations on a massive scale.
Download ProfileElectrosonic helped global law firm Ashurst seize a once in a generation opportunity to create a flexible working environment that would make collaboration technology accessible to all of its people across its new London headquarters.
The aim was to use the latest audiovisual technology to improve productivity, interaction, collaboration and agility as a basis for reinventing the way the firm’s people work. Now technology and innovation can drive the business forward through enhanced teamwork, more opportunities to share ideas and greater flexibility.
The campus features audiovisual installations on a massive scale with a flexible, high-impact multimedia auditorium, a dedicated studio and media room and forty meeting, conference and training rooms of different sizes offering employees and visitors a consistent user experience throughout.
Ashurst’s new headquarters features informal collaboration spaces and information hubs, twenty meeting rooms, five case study rooms, five conference rooms, six seminar rooms and four training suites with dedicated video conferencing, Skype for Business, interactive displays and sophisticated audio systems.
Four client and partner dining rooms and a staff recreation room are equipped with video and audio conferencing systems. Meeting rooms have intuitive touch panel control systems and Trimble room booking panels to support adhoc bookings.
The auditorium is a flexible, high-impact space providing multimedia presentation facilities for a wide variety of events, including prestigious business-critical meetings, internal and external client presentations, town hall events, group training and conferences.
It includes a very large video wall and large-format LCD display, surround sound and sophisticated control desk to accommodate many different types of presentation, as well as integration with lighting and building management systems.
A dedicated studio and media room provides multi-camera shooting and full green screen facilities with a flexible lighting grid system and control desk for in-house production and distribution of corporate and training content.
The major challenge was the sheer scale of a diverse audiovisual installation across seven floors. Electrosonic had to ensure that all equipment was deployed for maximum availability, reliability and ease of control. Despite significant differences in audiovisual complexity between sophisticated installations in the 150-seater auditorium and simple huddle spaces, all equipment had to provide a consistent user experience. Audio clarity and quality had to be consistent throughout the building.
Electrosonic handled audiovisual implementation, migration, managed service and onsite support, partnering with PTS Consulting and main contractor StructureTone led by Divisional Director, Tony Milsom, creating a great collaborative engaging environment in which everyone enjoyed working.
Video walls, digital signage, presentation and audio systems support internal communication. Consistent user experience encourages adoption, maximizes room utilization and ensures productive use of the facilities.
The mix of formal and informal meeting spaces has helped the firm evolve its working practices and develop a fluid, seamless collaborative environment.
Employees can work anywhere with access to the best available technology for productive meetings with colleagues, clients and business partners. Careful equipment selection and integration with intuitive control systems ensures a consistent, high-quality user experience in every space.
