The first-of-its-kind ride is based on an award-winning science fiction role playing video game franchise that combines storytelling, technology and live action. This ground-breaking show employs the highest resolution, holographic, 3D LED screen in the world based on 3D Live’s patented high-resolution 3D LED panel.
The technology enables the actor to physically interact with holographic-like virtual environments. The result is a much truer augmented reality holographic experience that sets new standards in themed entertainment.
This was the first ride to be based on a video game franchise, bringing a new form of augmented reality to the theme park. The organizers wanted to make the most effective use of the sophisticated technology to deliver a true holographic experience that incorporates motion seats, environmental effects and live performers.
The challenge was to convert an existing motion-based theatre space to realize the new show concept and accommodate its innovative LED screen technology as a turnkey project.
Electrosonic worked as an integration partner, designing, programming, installing and integrating the audiovisual and control systems. The 70-channel surround sound audio system provides the immersive sound required and uses advanced binaural systems to add lifelike directionality to sound effects.
Sophisticated video playback and show control systems are integrated with motion seating, 3D graphics and 4D effects. Electrosonic’s engineering and operations teams provided project support throughout.
