State-of-the-art digital signage solution creates a world-class passenger environment.
LaGuardia Airport, in the New York borough of Queens, is a major terminal for domestic flights, handling more than 32 million passengers a year. Terminal C, which serves Delta Airlines’ passengers, spans 1.3 million square feet and incorporates 37 gates. It replaced two smaller existing terminals with increased overall space and improved passenger and operational facilities.
Almost 2000 square feet of digital signage enhance the passenger experience and visual appearance of Terminal C, providing attractive advertising opportunities as well as essential wayfinding and passenger information. The digital signage project included two massive LED wrap-around bulkheads and a 42-foot video wall that dominate the main concourse, six large-format video walls in passenger holding areas, plus 10 85-inch LCD displays and a large format video wall in the arrivals baggage claim area.
Electrosonic was bought on board by Clear Channel Airports to provide support and expertise for the installation of audiovisual (AV) systems throughout the terminal. In partnership with Nanolumens, Electrosonic took responsibility for commissioning all displays, network infrastructure coordination and construction coordination.
