Electrosonic is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted for three awards at the prestigious AV Awards 2024, in the Corporate, Education and Themed Entertainment and Attractions categories. Projects include:

The AV Awards recognize outstanding achievements and excellence across the AV industry. To merit an award, projects must not only show evidence of innovation, but also deliver measurable benefits for customers.

“These three projects are amazing examples of the power of experiential technology to transform a space,” says Sean McChesney, Chief Revenue Officer at Electrosonic. “They demonstrate how AV can engage, inspire and entertain any audience whether they’re visitors, tourists, customers, partners or students.”

Corporate Project of the Year: Johnson Controls OpenBlue Innovation Center - Milwaukee

Johnson Controls is a world leader in smart buildings, creating safe, healthy and sustainable spaces. The OpenBlue Innovation Center - Milwaukee is an immersive, experiential space designed to showcase the company’s technologies and demonstrate product benefits in an engaging, interactive way. The Center incorporates virtual reality, interactivity and other experiential technologies in a space that includes five portals, a Welcome Wall, the Open Globe, three pods and a Theater.

Electrosonic collaborated with Fivestone Studios, Hyperquake, Nanolumens, Pixera and other partners to develop, integrate and support an experiential technology solution that creates a dramatic, first-hand demonstration of OpenBlue as the ‘blueprint of the future for smart buildings.'

Education Project of the Year: Baylor University Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center

The Hurd Welcome Center provides a technology-rich ‘front door’ to Baylor University’s campus and serves as an inspirational community space designed to make a lasting impression on current and prospective students, staff, alumni and visitors.

Inside the Center, four 96-foot-high columns provide a symbolic link to the original University site while welcoming the next generation of ‘Bears’ with immersive, interactive experiential technology. Inside the columns, videos and custom content depict Baylor’s four foundational themes – Reflect, Connect, Aspire and Amplify – and communicate what life at Baylor can offer.

Electrosonic collaborated with DetaiLED™, HOLOPLOT, Populous, Smart Monkeys, AV Stumpfl (Pixera), RLMG and Xibitz, Inc taking responsibility for creating, installing and seamlessly integrating custom LED solutions and specialty projection.

Themed Entertainment & Attractions Project of the Year: View Boston

View Boston is a 59,000-square-foot observation deck experience spanning multiple floors, experiential elevators and welcome and finale areas of Boston’s iconic Prudential Center. Breathtaking views integrated with immersive, interactive placemaking technologies such as virtual itinerary building, a projection-mapped 3D city model, virtual viewers and a 270-degree theatre create a vibrant, highly personalized visitor experience.

Electrosonic, in partnership with Christie Digital, Float4, FrankNDesign, JRA, Lightborne, Nanolumens and 7thSense, took responsibility for blue sky technology concepts, audiovisual and control system design, detailed engineering and system integration throughout View Boston. Innovative engineering, expert audiovisual design, seamless integration, rigorous testing and collaboration with partners were instrumental in delivering an experience that sets new standards for observation decks.

A team effort

The success of these remarkable projects is due to the fantastic collaboration between clients, partners and the talented teams of Electrosonic Design Consultants, Engineers, Fabricators, Project Managers and support staff who bring the visions to life. Recognition by this prestigious awards program is a great tribute to the work they do.

“Although Electrosonic is no stranger to success at the AV Awards with 34 awards in the program’s 26-year history, we know that our teams and our partners have to push the boundaries of technology to maintain that position,” said McChesney.
